Apprenticeship
Arkansas Advanced Energy Apprenticeship Program
AAEF is a Registered Apprenticeship Provider with the Department of Labor. As such, our goal is to implement innovative programs and strengthen educational pathways to bridge the skills gap in the advanced energy and sustainability industry.

What is a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP)?
Registered apprenticeship is a proven, industry-driven career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce and individuals can obtain paid work experience, receive progressive wage increases, classroom instruction, and a portable nationally recognized credential.
Who is providing funding?
AAEF has received $2MM in funding for four years from the Arkansas Department of Commerce Office of Skills Development to provide this Registered Apprenticeship Program. This provides project management, training reimbursement, talent acquisition and career coaching, and industry coordination. We are modeling our program after the currently successful IT Apprenticeship Program provided by the Arkansas Center for Data Sciences.
